Bubbly Beth's Birthday Bash... June 17, 2007

Beth Leaves Los Angeles.
The "dreaded" day came... Beth went back home to Baltimore. She arrived home safe-and-sound, and is with her family now.

After dropping Beth at LAX, Laura took a walk around Lake Balboa, went to her local Farmer's Market, then spent the rest of the day relaxing with Eric and her dogs.

It's back to reality for both of us, but it really, it isn't all that bad. And if it wasn't for "reality," we wouldn't appreciate the adventure we've been on for the past ten days nearly as much.

Sunny decided that Beth should not go home today, and he was willing to use physical force to keep her here.

Laura's attitude was that Beth should 'let sleeping dogs lie.'
Our final breakfast together - for this trip - was sardines on toast with sliced tomato and green onion,
and Strawberries.
Laura make Beth a sack lunch to carry on the plane.
Turkey Sandwich with sliced tomato and onion,
Peruvian Purple potato salad,
and apricots.

Laura had saved used sushi containers from Gelsons - her local market - before Beth arrived just for this purpose. That way, Beth could just discard the bag and the containers when she finished lunch.

The film canister with the sandwich contains Low Fat Mayo. Laura has measured these containers before and, filled to the brim, they hold exactly two tablespoons. They are also watertight.
Beth takes one final look at the back entrance to Laura's condominium complex before getting in the car to go to the airport.
LAX.
Beth bought so much on her trip that she required a luggage rack to carry all her stuff to the baggage counter!
Smiling through tears.
Bon Voyage Beth...
Come back soon!
On the way home, Laura stopped for a walk around Lake Balboa (one mile circumference) to reflect on the past ten crazy and fun days, and to re-adjust her mind set to reality.

Thank you for joining us during Beth's Birthday Bash.

Love,
