Today's field trip was cerebral and touching.
We visited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA.
We saw a lot; we learned a lot.
You may or may not be a fan of Mr. Reagan, but it matters not.
This location will make you think about the past and focus on the future.

Ronald Reagan welcomes Beth!
The library has a piece of the Berlin Wall on display.
We had lunch at the Library. Laura had a Green Salad and Turkey on a Kaiser Roll.
Beth ate a fruit salad and Turkey on the Roll (not to be confused with Turkey In the Straw) too.
Auditorium where public events are held.
Most recently used by the Republican Party for the Candidates Debate.
Ronald Reagan kept a personal diary during his years in the White House.
It was recently put on display.
It was very moving to read his account of the day he was shot, written in his own handwriting.

After taking a short break at home, we went to Slimmons where Beth exercised her heart out!
Then we came home and made our dinner consisting of:
Baked Mustard Salmon
Corn on the Cob with Country Crock
And a mixed vegetable salad.

Tomorrow is Beth's Birthday!
We would say that we are hanging with the "upper crust," but actually, we understand the sandwiches don't have any crust at all!
Then we will be observed going Hollywood!

Love,
